In many ways St. John’s Evangelism Commission touches on nearly all the ministries of our parish as it seeks to share the Good News with our members and the citizens of Naples as well.
By identifying, planning and implementing educational and enjoyable “bridge” events, this commission helps create unity and promote good relationships between our parish and the community. Many of the fellowship events they plan also provide and promote educational, pastoral well-being and outreach awareness as well.
The Commission attempts to offer at least one parish-wide fellowship opportunity each month, including summer. There are pot-luck suppers, barbecues, sunset boat cruises on Naples Bay, overnight bus trips to points of interest and day trips to out-of-town events such as the Christmas Pageant in Ft. Lauderdale.
Evening study series such as Purpose Driven programs and ALPHA are planned and promoted to appeal to newcomers to Naples as well as St. John’s.
